RSD and Rescue Remedy

Postby Lanahata » Wed Aug 26, 2009 7:05 pm

Hello All!

This is my first time to the Bach Forum although I have been using the remedies for over 3 years now. I am a massage therapist by trade and have an interesting question to ask my fellow Bach Flower practitioners. I have a client who has RSD- Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy- in her right leg. She has had this for 2 years now with no real relief. We have tried massage but the area is just too tender to touch. I have also utilized Reiki within our sessions- which helps, but very little. I have read RSD is an overcompensation of the body to a trauma or injury- as though the body does not know it is overreacting. Lately I have been contemplating trying some Rescue Remedy on the area itself- I have read Bach Flower Remedies applied directly to the body, at times, have a more powerful healing quality than just orally alone.

My question is- has anyone tried Rescue Remedy to treat any kind of physical aliment- such as RSD, fibromyalsia or chronic pain before? What were the results?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yours in Thanks,
Lanahata

Hello Lanahata

Have not tried Rescue Cream on any of the specific problems you describe, but have had good results from using it on joint injuries, the sooner the better, and also skin abrasions.

The way it seems to work is concentrating the bodies healing forces in the area and after a few days you might notice the area looking slightly inflamed because of that. This effect is more obvious where abrasion has taken place so might not apply in this case. Rescue cream may be what is required in this case to start/continue a healing process which appears to have got stuck so definitely worth trying. Would suggest several times a day for 2/3 days then perhaps a top up application every couple of days thereafter or what ever seems appropriate to you depending upon results.

Regards

Philip
